The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities will be holding a meeting open to the public regarding the Egan / Yandukin intersection or Fred Meyer intersection.
Efforts are being made to improve the safety of the road which has experienced a significant number of accidents over the years. Although there have been no fatalities there has been six major accidents over the past thirteen years.
A major problem is funding and this is where the community comes in. Community input is not only welcome but much needed and with the community’s support a strong case can be made to secure funding according to DOT officials.
