Juneau Artist Wanted

juneau ART 1

Art images for the Downtown Wayfinding and Interpretive Elements Project are needed and artists are invited to register and read for more information on proposal requirements. The City and Borough of Juneau is looking for three artists to create original art. The existing signs are outdated and CBJ is designing a new system which will include four panels each measuring 1 ft by 3 ft and have an original art image digitally printed on it. The Art Selection Committee has thus far  chosen one proposal and three panels remain. The art should be centered around one of three themes namely, Juneau, Alaska’s Capital, Aak’w Village District/ Resilience of Indian Village or Gold Mining in Juneau. Proposals deadline is January 24, 2020 before 2 p.m.

A meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 10 at 10 a.m. or Tuesday, January 14 at 10 a.m. in the Marine View Building 3rd floor in the Engineering Department conference room for artists to get more information.
