BP and Exxon Mobil have committed $20 million to the state for the natural gas pipeline that will run from the north slope to Nikiski. It will then be transported to Japan. Investors originally backed out in 2016 because of the market. Alaska gas is BP’s largest global undeveloped resource. It may get the final approve for the federal government by 2020.
